Leads 69ers rout Black Team, NorthCom edges Protego

The Hoopsilonians Hardcourt Fellowship delivered another exciting round of basketball on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Epsilon Chi Center.
NorthCom 99, Protego 93
In the opening game, NorthCom outlasted Protego 99-93 in double overtime. Von Esteban 2022 scored 23 points for NorthCom, while Javi Palana 2016 led Protego with 26.
Capitalizing on a deeper bench throughout the game, NorthCom’s defense and timely shots in overtime secured the victory despite Protego’s last push.
Jacob Angs 2018's 42 points and 10 rebounds led the way for Protego in the loss.
Leads 69ers 73, Black Team 38
In the second game, the Leads 69ers defeated Black Team 73-38.
Darrell Ciruela 2014 led the 69ers with 29 points and 21 rebounds. Philip Alpajora 2014 chipped in 14 points.
Despite a strong effort from Jona So 2010 who had 16 points, Black Team struggled with their shooting, finishing with just 19% from the field.
Angry Brods 68, Machismo 86ers 57
Angry Brods dealt Machismo 86ers its sixth straight loss with Alih Shah 2023 scoring 20 points and dishing out six assists.
Aris Celicious 2022 had a double-double for the Angry Brods with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Juan Alfonso Tayag led the losing side with 16 points and four steals.
TNE, Angry Brods, and Black Team Secure Wins
In the opening game on October 12, 2025, TNE defeated Machismo 63-58 in a tightly contested match.
TNE showed a balanced team effort, with standout performances from Kevin Villanueva 2012, who led the team with 17 points, and Gino Estebanlar 2018, who contributed 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
On the other side, Machismo's Ben Panga 2016 scored 20 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a 19-point deficit in the second quarter.
Angry Brods 79, Leads 69ers 59
The next game saw Angry Brods emerging victorious over Leads 69ers with a dominant 79-59 win.
Capitalizing on a strong first half, Angry Brods' Ali Shah 2023 was the standout performer, scoring an impressive 40 points on 55% shooting.
Leads 69ers fought hard, with Uno Alpajora 2025 leading the way with 19 points and 7 rebounds, but their early struggles from the field and late-game defensive lapses allowed Angry Brods to build a commanding lead.
DOJ Barkada 76, Black Team 61
The final game of the day saw DOJ Barkada secure a 76-61 victory over Black Team in a physical and hard-fought match.
Esdee Dulay 2012 and Carlo Roman 2012 scored 13 and 12 points respectively for the DOJ Barkada.
Yuri Quitain 2023 led the losing side with 28 points.
