Northcom, TNE, Angry Brods score wins ahead of playoffs

The penultimate round of eliminations of Hoopsilonians 2025 on October 26, 2025, featured three exciting matchups, with teams going head-to-head in a race for positions in the standings.
NorthCom 67, Black Team 63
The opening match set the tone for the day as Northcom narrowly escaped Black Team in a thrilling 67–63 finish.
Despite playing with only five men, the Black Team fought hard behind Chuck Lawan 2013, who poured in 21 points and 7 rebounds, while Kim Yuri Quitain 2013 added 12.
Northcom’s balanced attack was anchored by Chino Ramos 2005, who delivered a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds to seal the win. Ramos also capped his brilliant play with eight assists.
TNE 83, Leads 69ers 71
In the second game, TNE came alive in the fourth quarter to surge past the Leads 69ers, 83–71. With Mikey Balilia 2010 exploding for 34 points and Kevin Villanueva 2012 adding 17, TNE’s closing run proved unstoppable.
Philip Alpajora 2014 led the charge for Leads with an all-around performance of 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, but it wasn’t enough to overcome TNE’s late momentum.
Angry Brods 85, Protego 69
The final showdown of the day saw Angry Brods rout Protego, 85-69.
Angry Brods wasted no time in asserting dominance with a 24–11 opening quarter. Ali Shah 2023 lit up the scoreboard with a massive 45-point performance, while Oz Corpuz 2021 fought valiantly for Protego, posting 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals in a hard-fought loss.
As the tournament heads into the final week of eliminations, the excitement only grows. Every possession, every basket, and every defensive stand will matter as teams fight for their place in the standings.
