DOJ Barkada keep unblemished streak in Hoopsilonians Week 4

The fourth week of action in the Hoopsilonians 2025 tournament, held on September 14, 2025 at the Epsilon Chi Center, brought a series of tighter games that kept fans on edge.
Teams battled through nail-biting finishes and back-and-forth runs, showcasing the league’s growing competitiveness as the season enters its mid-stretch.
DOJ Barkada 57, Angry Brods 51
In the opening game, DOJ extended its undefeated streak with a 57–51 victory over Angry Brods.
A balanced scoring attack from Bam Manahan 2020 with 15 points, David Andres 2013 with 14, and Esdee Dulay 2012 with 13 proved too much to overcome despite a late push from Angry Brods.
Marius Rillo 2024 carried his team in the loss, posting a game-high 25 points alongside 9 rebounds.
Leads 69ers 67, Machismo 86ers 60
The second game saw the Leads 69ers edge past Machismo, 67–60. Shooting efficiency was key as Leads hit over 50% from the field and dominated the boards with a 44–31 rebounding advantage.
Philip Alpajora 2014 and Darrell Ciruela 2014 chipped in 13 points apiece to pace the win, while Nicolai Ong 2023 put on a strong performance for Machismo, finishing with 24 points.
“The games were short and intense, proven by the number of fouls and brods hitting the ground. Despite the intensity and heat of the match, what mattered at the end was the camaraderie we shared during the Hardcourt Fellowship,” said Enzo Lucindo 2025.
Northcom 69, TNE 67
The final showdown of the day ended in dramatic fashion as Northcom edged TNE, 69–67.
Javi Palana 2016 led the charge with 20 points, while Vonn Estebann 2022 added 17 to help Northcom bounce back from last week’s defeat.
